  ISFTA is the main Greek organization of research and technological development in the field of improved and integrated exploitation of solid fuels and their by-products. ISFTA was established in 1987 as “Centre for Solid Fuels Technology and Applications” and was incorporated into CERTH in 2002 as a Research Institute.
