The Queensland Future Growth Fund (QFGF) was established to provide funding for initiatives or infrastructure benefiting Queensland. A strategic priority of the QFGF is to supply funds to research and develop innovative technologies that address climate change.
EXPERIENCE:
$300 million has been allocated from the QFGF to develop low emission coal technologies. Commitments from the $300 million include:
Up to $102.5 million to ZeroGen Pty Ltd to undertake a feasibility study to develop a demonstration scale IGCC with CCS plant.
$10 million to the CS Energy lead Callide Oxyfuel Project.
$10 million to the Carbon Geostorage Initiative (statewide assessment of Queensland’s carbon storage capacity).
