In January 2021, an Innovation for Cool Earth Forum roadmap introduced a new term: biomass carbon removal and storage, or BiCRS. The term describes a range of processes that use plants and algae to remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and store it underground or in long-lived products. The Clean Energy Ministerial's CCUS Initiative has joined the Innovation for Cool Earth to host an interactive webinar on BiCRS. Learn more.
