Recognizing that CCS development varies from region to region, the CSLF in 2017 is implementing regional stakeholder meetings designed to accurately reflect the diverse needs in order to achieve CCS success in each geographic region.

CSLF Middle East and South Africa Regional Meeting

October 25 and 26, 2017, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

The Middle East regional champions (The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Energy and SABIC) will hold the first regional meeting for Middle East and South Africa. The objective of this workshop is to bring together the private sector, academia, governments, and non-governmental organizations from the Gulf Cooperation Council and South Africa to discuss regional opportunities and challenges for CO2 sequestration, storage, and utilization. The meeting will result in technological, regulatory, and other recommendations to share with the global CSLF organization. This workshop will be held at SABIC Global Headquarters in Riyadh, under the patronage of the Ministry of Energy, Industry and Mineral Resources.
